Melbourne Anime Festival Inc. is proud to announce @con 2013 – the one-day anime and traders convention, to be held on Saturday February 16th from 10am - 6pm. Combining amazing exclusive screenings, cosplay, traders and art, @con is the adventure and fun of Manifest packed into a single day.
@con provides a place to not only look and watch, but to participate and learn. You can learn from the best in our “How To Cosplay” panel, then relax and watch the stunning outfits in the cosplay parade and competition. Even if cosplay's not your thing, the things to learn and experience are endless. Perhaps have a go at drawing manga, helped along with artists from Drawing With Us, or learn how anime used to be made by painting your very own cel – in raditional style!
We have also secured amazing screenings from some of Australia's best distributors, Hanabee and Siren Visual. Come and relax in our screenings room while watching some of the best new anime being released on the market.
@con will be held at the historic Metropolitan Meat Market, located at 5 Blackwood Street, North Melbourne. Easily accessible by public transport on the 19 or 59 tram lines, there is also free and metered car parking available. Doors will open at 10am, and the fun won't stop
until 6pm!
Melbourne Anime Festival Inc. (MAFI) are behind Australia's largest anime festival, the annually run Manifest. Held at the Royal Melbourne Showgrounds, Manifest showcases the best cosplay, traders, events and screenings on offer. MAFI is run entirely by volunteers and is based in Melbourne, Australia.
