San Jose, Costa Rica to Host Konami Digital Entertainment's Celebrated Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game World Championship Qualifier 2011 for Central America
Hundreds of Duelists from around the Central Continent to attend this prestigious Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME event
SAN JOSE, Costa Rica (June 24, 2011) – Traveling in from cities large and small, representing 24 Central American Continental countries, including the Caribbean and Mexico, more than 300 avid Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading Card Game (TCG) players are expected to descend on this capital city to vie for the title of Continental Champion at this weekend's World Championship Qualifier (WCQ) 2011 in San Jose.
The winner will also be invited to compete in Konami Digital Entertainment's (Konami) esteemed World Championship in the European city of Amsterdam in August where players from around the world will compete for the esteemed title of World Champion. Another World Championship Qualifier will be held in Brazil, to choose the South American representative for the World Championship early next month.
For many, this WCQ is a culmination of months of practice, preparation and sharpening of game strategies. Now, Duelists will put it all on the line, hoping that their fine-tuned Decks and “A” game will be enough to win it all.
The San Jose World Championship Qualifier will also offer exciting Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG public events on Saturday and Sunday that include Win-A-Mat tournaments, Pegasus League: Deck Challenge events, and Attack of the Giant Card!! for all ages, and Dragon Duel tournaments for Duelists aged 12 and under. There will also be 2012 Regional Qualifier tournaments on Sunday.

Cost: The World Championship Qualifier is by invitation only and there is an entry fee for all Public Events.
