No doubt Hiro Mashima is the new Shônen author who is the most successful. With Fairy Tail, he imposed his graphic style and telling talent.
As soon as Fairy Tail was released in France in 2008 by Pika Édition, success came! natsu, lucy and Happy's magic adventures seduced the French readership thanks to a clever mix of action, humor and fantasy, and charismatic characters.
With over 700,000 copies sold in France, the series sits pretty atop the Manga best-sellers list and was also awarded the Best Shônen Japan Expo Award in 2009!
