Anime in Northwest Ohio invites everyone to attend Animarathon V at Bowling Green State University, on Saturday, April 14th, 2007. Admission is totally free! Animarathon is a one-day mini-convention featuring multiple screening rooms, a dealer's room, artist's alley, a cosplay (costume) contest, fan panels, games, fan parodies, a big raffle, and more! Also this year, we will have participation from Flash Flash Revolution, and the Bowling Green Gaming Society will have a room for board games and roleplaying games.
The events begin at 10 a.m. and run until midnight. Registration is free on location; there is no pre-registration.
The event will be held at Olscamp Hall, stretching over 13 rooms, located around a central lounge area. Some of our special features include a cosplay contest; Japanese arcade machines; a Nintendo DS lounge; and a live-action, oldskool RPG-styled battle simulation game called Cos-Arena, where players act out their character's attacks. The Dealer's Room can satisfy any shopping hunger you have for anime, Japanese merchandise, or Pocky; and stop by our fan panels and karaoke session for some interactive fun. Don't forget our big raffle where tickets are three for a dollar, and you can win anything from DVDs, to action figures, pins, manga, video games, card games, and many more great prizes.
For the schedule of events, directions to campus, and more information, please go to the website listed above.
