MELBOURNE, Monday, 01 May, 2006 – SAIYUKI RELOAD, the second series of the popular SAIYUKI series, strides into town on June 21, 2006. Having gone through a slew of demons, an overly ambitious War Prince, and numerous cartons of cigarettes, we rejoin the adventures of priest Genjyo Sanzo and companions Cho Hakkai, Sha Gojyo, and Son Goku as they continue their epic journey to the west to save the world from the revival of Lord Gyumaoh, and crush the hopes and dreams of his nefarious demon horde.

A huge property in Japan, the SAIYUKI story has spanned over 100 episodes, a feature movie (SAIYUKI: REQUIEM) and several Manga series. SAIYUKI is a classic re-imagining of the legendary Journey to the West folk tale, made popular in series' such as Monkey and the animated version, Monkey Magic.

SAIYUKI RELOAD is produced by Studio Pierrot (NARUTO, BLEACH) and features original character designs by Yūji Moriyama (Wings of Honneamise).

SAYUKI RELOAD VOL.1 will also be available to purchase with a Limited Edition Collector's Box, to store all upcoming DVD releases of this series.
