Viz Brings Deko Boko Friends to Canada's Treehouse TV

(Viz Media), one of the entertainment industry's most innovative and comprehensive manga and animation licensing and publishing companies, will introduce the hit TV show DEKO BOKO FRIENDS on Treehouse TV, Canada's top rated preschool destination beginning in September.
Treehouse will air 61 episodes of the uniquely original DEKO BOKO FRIENDS, Viz Media's debut Japanese animation property for preschool audiences that delivers positive messages to children in a charming and witty manner. Since its debut in Japan in April 2002 on NHK, Japan's public television channel, DEKO BOKO FRIENDS has won the hearts and minds of children teaching lasting life lessons of acceptance and difference. With its airing on Treehouse, DEKO BOKO FRIENDS continues to build on that momentum with successful launches in the U.S. and now in Canada.

DEKO BOKO FRIENDS, the first Japanese preschool animated show to ever ink a deal with Nickelodeon, is produced as 30-second animated shorts, and features 12 unique characters that help teach children about diversity and tolerance. The show currently airs on Nick Jr., Noggin — Nickelodeon's commercial-free educational network for preschoolers — and Nicktoons, Nickelodeon's 24-hour cartoon channel.
The world of DEKO BOKO FRIENDS will be available to children in toys from Spin Master and in books from Simon & Schuster. Additional licensees will be announced shortly.
