Ani-One Asia's YouTube channel began streaming the television anime adaptation of developer Edelweiss' side-scrolling action role-playing game Sakuna: Of Rice And Ruin (Tensui no Sakuna Hime) in India on July 6. The channel began streaming the anime based on TAKALAKA and voice actor Takuya Eguchi's Egumi Legacy card game in India on Tuesday.

Sakuna: Of Rice And Ruin premiered in Japan on July 6.

Ani-One Asia describes the story:

It has long been believed that there are two worlds: the realm of the gods and the realm of humans. The upper-tier goddess, Sakuna-hime, born to a warrior god and a harvest goddess, squandered her parents' stored grain and led a lazy life. One day, she was banished from the city of the gods and sent to Hinoe Island, a remote island infested with demons. On this undeveloped island, where even tomorrow's food is uncertain, she begins to till the land, grow rice, and exterminate demons. Thus begins the communal life of a novice harvest goddess.

Masayuki Yoshihara (The Eccentric Family both seasons, Komada - A Whisky Family) is directing the series at P.A. Works. Jukki Hanada (Kan Colle, Love Live! School idol project) is overseeing and writing the series scripts. Shōji Sōma (Shirobako, The Eccentric Family) is the line producer.

Sakuna: Of Rice And Ruin launched for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC in November 2020. XSEED Games released the game in English.

Jiji & Pinch launched the Tensui no Sakuna Hime: Ikusa Datara no Kamigami manga adaptation in November 2021 and ended it in November 2022. Marvelous supervised the manga.

Egumi Legacy premiered in Japan on Tuesday.

Masa Mori (Kaishain, Obey Me!, A Turtle's Shell Is a Human's Ribs) is directing and writing the anime. Katsuya Kitano is also writing the script along with Mori. Studio Outrigger is planning and producing the project, and agency 81 Produce is cooperating on production. Eguchi is credited with the original character designs. Kyōhei Matsuo is composing the music. Boy group Genin wa Jibun ni Aru. performs the theme song "P-P-P-PERO."

TAKALAKA and Eguchi released the Egumi Legacy card game as the 10th project in their collaborative EGUMI brand in summer 2022. The brand also includes clothing and other merchandise.

Eguchi is in charge of the worldview and original character designs for the card game. In the card game, players are explorers who go on an adventure to find the titular "Egumi Legacy" before the fall of civilization.

In the anime, there exists a floating island in the ocean called Egu Island. On the island, the only entertainment is a songstress named "End of the World." The inhabitants of the island spend their days entranced by her singing. But one day their lives are upended by the disappearance of End of the World. Afterward, the island overflows with anger, doubt, and anxiety. A great war breaks out over End of the World and the Egumi Legacy.
