The IDOLM@STER Actress Azumi Asakura Reports Being Stalked in 2014

Asakura moved multiple times to avoid stalker who would follow, find her home, ambush her

Voice actress Azumi Asakura reported on her official blog on Wednesday that she was being stalked during the 2014 year.

She wrote:

Especially in 2013 and 2014, the number of people supporting me has increased. Thank you so much. I'm grateful from the bottom of my heart.

However, along with this, unfortunately, there was something that made me worry. I get followed in town. My house gets found. I get ambushed. I worried a lot. I moved many times. I was very afraid.

All of you are very precious to me. Thanks to everyone's support and kind words and feelings, even when I don't have work, I'm able to hold my head high. If everyone wasn't here, the present me would not exist.

And that's exactly why this sad thing happened.

However, I really did feel the power sent from you all. The supportive letters, the cheers at events, and the messages to the radio shows... If I kept giving examples, there would be no end! Thank you so, so much for all you do!

To be honest, at one time, I wanted to run away from appearing in front of people. However, I think now that because everyone has been here, Azumi Asakura has been able to grow as a person.

Asakura is possibly best-known for her role as Yukiho Hagiwara in the The IDOLM@STER 2 franchise after taking over the role in The IDOLM@STER 2. Asakura is also known for her roles as Kumin in Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions!, Machiko in Lagrange - The Flower of Rin-ne, and Asia Argento in High School DxD.

Yurina Hase (previously known as Yurika Ochiai), the previous voice of The IDOLM@STER's Yukiho, received multiple death threats in 2009, causing her stress. She later resigned from her role in the series, and was replaced by Asakura. Hase announced that she would be taking a break from the industry earlier this year.

Update: Typos fixed. Thanks, enurtsol.
