A First-of-its-Kind Exhibition Starts in February 2025 at Tokorozawa Sakura Town; 111 Illustrators with Over 7.7 Million X Followers Combined will Draw 190 Idols from The Idolm@ster Cinderella Girls
KADOKAWA CORPORATION has announced that they will be holding Illustrator Exhibition FR@GMENTS of THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS themed around THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS at TOKOROZAWA SAKURA TOWN, a cultural complex in Tokorozawa City, Saitama Prefecture, from February 7th (Fri.) to March 30th (Sun.), 2025. This exhibition is being held as part of Pop Over Musashino (POM Festival), a program commissioned by Japan Cultural Expo 2.0, which is a national project to promote Japanese culture and arts that embody the beauty and spirit of Japan and to showcase their diverse and universal appeal in the lead-up to Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan. Ticket sales began today.
THE IDOLM@STER series by Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. started in 2005 as a game for amusement facilities. It gained popularity by expanding to a wide range of media, including stage event, TV anime, and movies, and will mark its 20th anniversary in 2025. The upcoming exhibition features 190 idols from THE IDOLM@STER CINDERELLA GIRLS, affectionately known as deremas who will be beautifully illustrated by 111 illustrators with more than 7.7 million X followers combined.
The illustrators will depict candid moments of the idols in Musashino. They will bring to life the idols running around with vitality and energy at Kadokawa Culture Museum (located in TOKOROZAWA SAKURA TOWN), which is also the exhibition venue designed under the supervision of Kengo Kuma. Other places include Tokorozawa Aviation Memorial Park, the site of Japan's first airfield; Belluna Dome, which has hosted a deremas stage event; and historically significant Musashino landmarks that blend in with the rich natural landscape. This exhibition, offering glimpses of the unposed idols popping over Musashino, is a first-of-its-kind that can only be seen at TOKOROZAWA SAKURA TOWN.
