Kodansha's Monthly Shōnen Sirius magazine announced in its next issue preview on Wednesday that manga creator Akihito Yoshitomi's Eat-Man manga will have a new series published in the magazine beginning on May 26 in the June issue. The title of the newest addition to the series will be announced in the April issue of Shōnen Sirius, which is scheduled to be released in Japan on March 26.
Kodansha also announced that beginning March 26, the manga will be re-released one chapter per week on Nico Nico through Suiyōbi no Sirius (Wednesday Sirius). A complete new compilation of the ten volumes of the Eat-Man manga will also be published, with one volume released monthly for five months beginning on May 9.
Yoshitomi drew his Eat-Man manga from 1996 to 2003, and the manga received an anime adaptation in 1997. A second anime series aired in Japan one year later. Viz Media published the manga in North America, while Bandai Entertainment licensed the anime. Yoshitomi published a one-shot manga titled Otome Claw (Maiden Claw) in Akita Shoten's Weekly Shōnen Champion magazine last year.
