Inferno Cop Sequel 'Seems' to Be Announced
posted on by Egan Loo
The official Twitter account for the Inferno Cop project posted the following on Monday: "Starting today, I will be known as Inferno Cop 2. It seems like a sequel was announced in a distant foreign land." The Twitter account's name has been changed to "Inferno Cop 2."
Studio Trigger, the relatively new anime studio co-founded by director Hiroyuki Imaishi (Dead Leaves, Gurren Lagann, Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt), launched Inferno Cop on the Anime Bancho YouTube channel last December. The story deals with those in this world who dwell in the dark, invisible to the naked eye. From time to time, these figures bare their fangs and attack people. Inferno Cop is a messenger of justice who came from the depths of hell to protect people from them.
Update: The unofficial Twitter account for Trigger added, "We did present a joke pv video at an event that took place in Tokushima (we just came back). […] We may possibly do it after KLK, who knows." Thanks, Saeglopur25
