Xbox One to Launch in 13 Markets on November 22

Microsoft announced the official launch date for its next generation Xbox One console in several countries on Wednesday. The Xbox One will launch in Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States on November 22. A limited number are now available for preorder. Online retailer Amazon previously listed the release date as November 27.
Microsoft has not announced when it will ship the console in Japan.
Microsoft also announced some changes to the console's hardware, including a 10-percent increase in CPU speed from 1.6GHZ to 1.75GHZ. The console's launch titles include Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag, Battlefield 4, Call of Duty: Ghosts, Forza Motorsport 5, Ryse: Son of Rome, Watch Dogs and Dead Rising 3.
Sony's PlayStation 4 console will launch in North America on November 15 and in Europe and Latin America on November 29. Sony and Microsoft both state that their respective next-generation consoles will have no systemwide regional restrictions.
