Anime Expo to Host Hunter x Hunter Voice Actress Megumi Han
posted on by Egan Loo
Anime Expo announced on Wednesday that it will host voice actress Megumi Han as a Guest of Honor at the July 4-7 event in Los Angeles.
As the daughter of prolific voice actress Keiko Han, Megumi had already made her acting debut at the age of 19 in the live-action film adaptation of the Sakura no Sono manga in 2008. She then pursued her dream of becoming a voice actress herself, and eventually won the lead role of Gon Freecss in the new Hunter x Hunter anime. Her other starring roles include Chiari in Jewelpet Happiness, San in Inazuma Eleven Go vs. Danbōru Senki W, and most recently, Akko Kagari in Little Witch Academia. She also played roles in Digimon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, and Chihayafuru 2.
Han will participate in a Little Witch Academia panel with the anime's Studio Trigger at Anime Expo. She is also appearing this weekend at the Animazement convention in North Carolina.
Previously announced guests of Anime Expo include animation director and character designer Keigo Sasaki, voice actor Kazuhiko Inoue, screenwriter Mari Okada, character designer Noizi Ito, visual kei musical acts Kaya and Moon Stream, and director Kazuhiro Furuhashi. Host Danny Choo, DJ RAM RIDER, cosplayer Alodia Gosiengfiao, and voice actors Eric Vale, Christopher R. Sabat, Kyle Hebert, and Johnny Yong Bosch will also attend.
Update: Typo fixed. Thanks, Wooga
