GTO's Fujisawa Returns to Kamen Teacher Manga
posted on by Joanne Mertz
The combined 21st and 22nd issue of Shueisha's Weekly Young Jump magazine began serialization on Thursday of Tohru Fujisawa's Kamen Teacher Black manga. The new manga is a sequel to Fujisawa's 2006-2007 series Kamen Teacher. The new manga's tagline reads, "At a hopeless academy where demons dwell, the 'black' teacher swoops down to light the fire of hope into the students' souls once again."
The original four-volume story revolved around Araki Gota and Kamen Teacher, who were hired to a public high school of delinquents to solve the school's problems in their own unorthodox ways. The new story explores the activities of the masked Kamen Teacher at a notable school for wealthy socialites, where powerful parents and money mean everything to students.
In the same magazine's 23rd issue on May 9, Kimiya Kaji (Meister) will launch the Try Angel manga, and in the 24th issue on May 16, Hiroshi Motomiya (Salaryman Kintaro, Ore no Sora) will launch a new series.
