Summer Wars Manga Listed by Amazon US

The online retailer Amazon lists the first part of Iqura Sugimoto's manga adaptation of Mamoru Hosoda's Summer Wars film for an American release on October 22. According to the listing, the first part will cost US$14.95 from Vertical. Vertical declined to comment on the listing.
Sugimoto serialized the manga in Kadokawa Shoten's Young Ace magazine from the magazine's inaugural issue in July 2009 to May 2010. Kadokawa Shoten then published the manga in two book volumes. Yumehito Ueda drew a separate Summer Wars King Kazuma vs. Queen Oz manga spinoff in Kadokawa Shoten's Monthly Comp Ace magazine from 2009 to 2010.
The movie itself opened in Japan in July 2009, and Funimation released it in North America. Udon Entertainment confirmed that it will release the Summer Wars: Material Book in North America on May 7.
