DOLL's Mitsukazu Mihara Ends Dokuhime Manga
posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
Mitsukazu Mihara's (DOLL, The Embalmer) Dokuhime manga ended in Saturday's issue of Asahi Shimbun's shōjo manga magazine Nemuki.
Dokuhime is a gothic fantasy about a woman who, after ingesting trace amounts of poison from a young age, has had her own bodily fluids become poisonous.
Mihara resumed the series in June. The fifth and final compiled volume is scheduled for release in early summer 2013. Asahi Shimbun published the fourth volume in the series (pictured at right) in 2009.
Tokyopop released six of Mihara's manga titles — DOLL, Haunted House, Beautiful People, The Embalmer, R.I.P. - Requiem in Phonybrian, and IC in a Sunflower — before closing it's publishing operations last year. Mihara's The Embalmer manga spawned a live-action television series in 2007.
