Senran Kagura TV Anime's First Promo Streamed

The official website for the upcoming television anime adaptation of MarvelousAQL's Senran Kagura side-scrolling action game based around female ninjas has begun streaming the first promotional trailer for the series.
The trailer also reveals main cast and staff members for the series. The revealed cast is as follows:
- Asuka: Hitomi Harada
- Ikaruga: Asami Imai
- Katsuragi: Yū Kobayashi
- Yagyuu: Kaori Mizuhashi
- Hibari: Yuka Iguchi
Takashi Watanabe (Shakugan no Shana, Slayers) will direct the series at the Artland animation studio. Takao Yoshioka (Sekirei, Elfen Lied) will be responsible for the scriptwriting of the series, while Takashi Torii will act as its character designer and chief animation director. The character designs for the franchise were originally created by Nan Yaegashi while Yukinori Kitajima (Okamiden) assisted in creating its original story.
The original Senran Kagura was released in September 2011 on the 3DS, and a manga adaptation has been serialized in Media Factory's Monthly Comic Alive since last October. Senran Kagura is scheduled to begin airing on Japanese television in 2013.
