posted on by Jennifer Sherman
North American manga and anime distributor Viz Media announced on Monday that it will release the 13th volume of Yoshiyuki Sadamoto's Neon Genesis Evangelion manga on November 2 — the same day as the Japanese release. The latest printed volume of the science-fiction series will cost US$9.99. The volume will also be available on VIZManga.com and the Viz Manga App for iOS devices for US$4.99.
Kadokawa Shoten confirmed last month that the 13th volume will ship in Japan on November 2. A Japanese pre-order premium edition of the volume will feature an original variant cover, six postcards with original illustrations, a 50-page Sadamoto artbook featuring the first-page illustrations from every manga chapter, and a 3D card with the illustration from the premium edition's cover.
The manga's 12th volume shipped in North America in February 2011. Viz Media launched its digital release of the Neon Genesis Evangelion manga series in August 2011.
Dark Horse Comics previously released all four volumes of the related Neon Genesis Evangelion: Campus Apocalypse manga in North America.
