Samurai Gun's Kumagai Revisits Monte Cristo in 1-Shot Manga

The May issue of Grand Jump Premium featured Kazuhiro Kumagai, creator of Samurai Gun, on a new one-shot manga based on the classic Count of Monte Cristo novel by Alexandre Dumas on Saturday. The story takes place in 19th-Century France during the Industrial Revolution. The novel was previously adapted into an anime and manga in Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo in 2004.
Also in the same issue, Yuu Kitamura started the series Ikoi no Sodom -Bishōjo Impala-, which is a spinoff from her previous Bishōjo Impala manga from Shueisha's Super Jump magazine. Manga author ancou will start a new series titled Landmark Fieldworker -Toaru Machi no Genius Loki- in the next issue on May 22.
