Gakuen Prince's Jun Yuzuki Launches Rose & Wolf Manga
posted on by Egan Loo
Gakuen Prince manga creator Jun Yuzuki launched a new series called Bara to Ōkami (Rose & Wolf) in the November issue of Kodansha's shōjo manga magazine Bessatsu Friend on Thursday.
The romantic comedy follows a high school girl and a male student with a hidden secret in Sumeragi Academy, one of Japan's most elite boarding schools. Futaba Yoshino is a freshman girl taking regular courses at the academy, but she daydreams about Kōga Kiriya, an aloof second-year student with translucent dusk-colored eyes on the advanced track of special studies. Although they live in different worlds, something unexpected suddenly brings them together.
Yuzuki ended her Gakuen Prince manga this past June. Random House's Del Rey Manga imprint published the three of that manga's 12 volumes in North America in 2009. Last year, Kodansha USA announced it would gradually take over publishing duties for titles published by the imprint in North America, although it does not list Gakuen Prince among its planned titles.
Shiro no Eden manga creator Ririko Yoshioka will also launch a new series called Tsuki to Taiyō no Piece (A Piece of The Moon And The Sun) in the December issue of Bessatsu Friend on November 11.
