Japan Day Near Holborn This Saturday.

The Diverse Japan website has announced a Japan Day and Student Fair on this coming Saturday (October 8). The venue is Dragon Hall near Holborn Station in London (map). The free event is organised by The Institute for the Liberal Arts at Doshishi University, and open to prospective students, teachers and career advisers. The day's events will run from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. According to the schedule, between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m., there will be a number of activities and displays, including displays and a workshop by Chie Katsuwada, an illustrator for Umisen-Yamisen; displays of anime and gaming merchandise by AnimePang; a cosplay display and demonstation; and a screening of work of celebrated Japanese puppet animator Kihachiro Kawamoto. There will also be costume and manga drawing prizes.
