posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
The official website for the Eiyū Densetsu: Sora no Kiseki (The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky) anime began streaming the first 6.5 minutes of the series on Sunday. The first of two Blu-ray/DVD volumes will ship in Japan on November 25, and the limited first edition of the Blu-ray will include a reduced-sized version of the anime's screening event pamphlet, an actual strip of film from the anime, an exclusive booklet, the credit-less opening and ending animation sequences, audio commentary, and an exclusive sleeve with a new illustration.
The original Nihon Falcom role-playing game franchise that inspired the new anime had sold more than a million copies and had already inspired a promotional anime DVD bundled with its first manga volume. Xseed Games is releasing the Eiyū Densetsu: Sora no Kiseki game trilogy under the title The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky on the Sony PSP system in North America; the publisher shipped the first chapter in March. Nihon Falcom is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.
