posted on by Egan Loo
The official website for the Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos (Fullmetal Alchemist: Milos no Sei-Naru Hoshi) movie began streaming two new commercials on Thursday. The first new commercial lists comments from various musical artists who have been involved in Fullmetal Alchemist, including the new film's L'Arc~en~Ciel (ending theme "GOOD LUCK MY WAY") and miwa (opening theme "Chasing hearts"). The second new commercial highlights the original creator Hiromu Arakawa's new "11.5th volume" of manga which will be given away to moviegoers, while supplies last.
The site also began streaming the third and final video lesson by "Instructor Roy." (In the linked page, select the "勢力編" video icon in the center.) The Froovie site is selling the various character goods that will also be offered at the theaters during the film's run, such as Ed's watch and action figures.
Kazuya Murata (Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion assistant director) is directing off a script by Yūichi Shimpo (Whiteout). Kenichi Konishi (Tokyo Godfathers) is adapting the character designs from Hiromu Arakawa's original manga at the studio Bones (Eureka Seven). The film will open in Japan on July 2. The first Japanese moviegoers will receive the "11.5th" manga volume which Arakawa herself is drawing.
