The Last Unicorn Gets BD/DVD Combo Release in February

The home video news site High-Def Digest reports that the 1982 animated adaptation of Peter S. Beagle's novel The Last Unicorn will be released in a Blu-ray Disc/DVD combo pack on February 22, 2011.
The film was animated by the Japanese animation studio Topcraft, which later worked with Hayao Miyazaki on the 1984 film adaptation of his Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind manga. Members of this team went on to form Studio Ghibli with Miyazaki in 1985.
Lionsgate released the film on DVD in 2007. Beagle has appeared at multiple anime conventions throughout the years, including Otakon in 2008 and 2010.
