posted on by Egan Loo
Producer Masafumi Fukui (Kiddy Grade, Scrapped Princess, Full Metal Panic!) revealed on his blog and his Kachidoki Studio's website that a television anime adaptation of Natsuko Shimamori's Shokupan Mimi (White Bread Mimi) manga has been green-lit. The story revolves around Mimi (Sakura Nogawa), the "youngest" slice in six-slice bread loaf born from a natural yeast "mama." Her friends include Bata-chan (butter, Saori Gotō), Hammy (Ui Miyazaki), Petit-Toma-chan (cherry tomato, Misako Tomioka), Pansam-kun (croissant), and Torebi Aan (tres bien).
The original manga runs in Shufu-to-Seikatsusha's Chara Sagashi Land and Ne~ne~ magazines, and one book volume has been published. The anime will run "a little before 7:00 p.m." every weekday on the Osaka station ABC, starting on October 4.
