4Kids Adds Yu-Gi-Oh! 3D: Bonds Beyond Time Anime Film
posted on by Egan Loo
The North American anime distributor 4Kids Entertainment has announced on Tuesday that it licensed the 2010 3D anime feature film Yu-Gi-Oh! 3D: Bonds Beyond Time (Gekijō-ban Yu-Gi-Oh! ~Chō-Yūgō! Jikū o Koeta Kizuna). The stereoscopic 3D film marked the 10th anniversary of the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime film franchise in January by featuring the main heroes of all three TV Tokyo anime series: Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters' Yuugi Mutou, Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monster GX's Judai Yuki, and the ongoing Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Yūsei Fudō. The story brought together the three heroes to fight Paradox, a powerful new enemy who appeared for the first time in the film.
4Kids plans to release the film in 3D theaters in "select markets" in early 2011, followed by a television premiere and a DVD release. 4Kids' theatrical, television and home entertainment rights for the film extend worldwide outside Asia.
