God Eater Game's Anime Footage Produced by ufotable
posted on by Egan Loo
Bandai Namco Games debuted the new anime footage that the ufotable studio produced for its God Eater action game at Tokyo Game Show on Sunday. According to producer Yusuke Tomizawa, the footage was just delivered the day before, in time for the event. The animated video is set six years before the actual game's story and centers on the first mission of Sōma, a God Eater who fends off the aragami attackers. Bandai Namco plans to distribute the footage on the game's official website and other locations. (The official website is currently streaming a separate five-minute Tokyo Game Show promotional video with gameplay footage.) Tomizawa added that there will probably be a director's cut of the anime footage since there are still parts that the director wants to change.
The God Eater game will ship for Japanese PSP consoles on this winter. Rokuro Saitō's God Eater -the spiral fate- manga has begun in Bandai Namco's free Side-BN magazine, and a manga will start soon in Kodansha's Monthly Shōnen Rival magazine as well.
