Japanese Animation DVD Ranking, September 14-20

The second DVD-Box for the Korean live-action television drama version of Yōko Kamio's Boys Over Flowers manga debuted at #8. The director's cut of the live-action Saraba Kamen Rider Den-O: Final Countdown film also opened right below at #9. The Making of Anime Winter Sonata ~Futatabi Hajimaru Monogatari~ DVD landed at #12. The third volume of the live-action Kamen Rider Decade television series debuted at #18.
The 2002 film Crayon Shin-chan: Arashi wo Yobu Appare! Sengoku Daikassen stayed on the DVD sales chart, thanks to the September 5 opening of Takashi Yamazaki's live-action Ballad: Namonaki Koi no Uta period drama film. Tsuyoshi Kusanagi of the SMAP entertainment group stars in this live-action historical romance based loosely on the plot of the award-winning Crayon Shin-chan film.
