Anime Network Online Heads to UK, Ponyo UK Opening in 2010

A.D. Vision's Anime Network has announced that its online video-on-demand service is now available in the United Kingdom. Just as in the American version of the service, there are three tiers of videos: free content, registered content for people who log in (at no charge), and subscribed content. Viewers can watches videos from the subscribed content for £4.95 per month. The current lineup includes Elfen Lied, Lady Death, This Ugly Yet Beautiful World, Azumanga Daioh, and Cromartie High School.
In a separate development, Empire magazine reports that the UK release of Ponyo, the latest feature film from Oscar-winning director Hayao Miyazaki, has been delayed to early 2010.
