Yellow, Steal Moon's Makoto Tateno to Attend Yaoi-Con (Updated)

California-based Digital Manga Publishing (DMP) has announced that it is hosting manga creator Makoto Tateno at Yaoi-Con, which takes place in Northern California from October 30 to November 1. Tateno created such boys-love — and non-boys-love — works as Yellow, Hero Heel, Steal Moon, Blue Sheep Reverie, Angelic Runes, Red Angel, and King of Cards. (DMP's Juné boys-love imprint published the first four titles, while Angelic Runes and Red Angel were released directly under DMP's name. CMX Manga published King of Cards.)
DMP also confirmed that it will publish Tateno's Happy Boys manga under its DokiDoki imprint. DMP already confirmed that it will republish her Yellow manga in two omnibus volumes with new content in time for Yaoi-Con. DMP's Juné imprint had previously revealed that it plans to publish Yellow 2, a 60-page mobile-phone manga sequel, for the first time in print in any country. While it does not have a finalized release date, Yellow 2 is tenatively slated for this October — also just in time for a limited number of printed copies to be available at Yaoi-Con.
In addition to Tateno, boys-love manga creator Haruka Minami will appear at Yaoi-Con this year. Tateno came to the Otakon event in Baltimore in August of 2006.
