Gisho Getter Robo Darkness Manga to Launch in June (Updated)
posted on by Egan Loo
This year's fifth issue of Hakusensha's Young Animal Arashi magazine announced on April 3 that Hideaki Nishikawa will launch his Gisho Getter Robo Darkness manga in the seventh issue on June 5. The story is the newest remake of Gō Nagai and Ken Ishikawa's Getter Robo (pictured at right), the first robot made of combining vehicles to star in its own manga and anime. An 8-page preview story of Gisho Getter Robo Darkness will appear in the sixth issue on May 1.
The sixth issue will also include a supplemental booklet with an 84-page installment of Gisho Getter Robot Dash, Nishikawa's manga that ended its run when Kodansha stopped publication of its Magazine Z magazine in January. According to Hakusensha's editor for the new manga, Gisho Getter Robo Darkness will following in the footsteps of Gisho Getter Robot Dash. Before these two Getter Robo stories, Nishikawa created Mon Colle Knights, Shokugyo Koroshiya, and other manga.
