Kigurumikku V3 Anime Listed on Crunchyroll
posted on by Egan Loo
The Crunchyroll media-distribution website has begun listing the Kigurumikku V3 comedy video anime project as an upcoming title in its library. In this story by director Hisashi Saito (Bamboo Blade), a hyper girl named Azuki Edomae and her friends Mutsumi Mutsuki and Serika Shihōdō protect the peaceful order of a town by transforming into Kigurumikku-Swan, Kigurumikku-Falcon, and Kigurumikku-Swallow, respectively, via cosplay outfits. "Kigurumi" is a type of cosplay that essentially turns a wearer into a giant plush toy or doll. The three episodes in this magical girl parody project are designed to look like a compilation of the best episodes from a nonexistent television series.
The first Kigurumikku V3 episode is scheduled to debut "for everyone" at 11:00 p.m. PT on Sunday, April 5. (An episode will debut on Japan's Nico Nico Douga website at about the same time.) AIC, the studio behind the anime, is asking cosplayers to submit photos for a contest.
Crunchyroll's April calendar also lists another unnamed anime debuting on April 5 at 10:00 a.m. That time is equivalent to 2:00 a.m. on April 6 in Japan, or "26:00" on April 5. The last unnamed anime to debut in April is slated for 6:00 p.m. PT on April 8.
