Japanese Box Office, February 14-15 (Updated)

The second film in Yukihiko Tsutsumi's three-part adaptation of Naoki Urasawa's 20th Century Boys manga dropped from #1 to #2 on Kogyo Tsushinsha's Japanese box office chart during the February 14-15 weekend. According to Box Office Mojo, 20th Century Boys Part II: Saigo no Kibō earned the equivalent of US$2,785,855 on 374 screens in its third weekend for a gross-to-date of US$21,842,595.
Takahisa Zeze's Kansen Rettō film stayed at #7 in its fifth weekend. This live-action film adaptation of Masasumi Kakizaki's horror manga added US$899,880 to its total of US$18,392,015 on 324 screens. Heaven's Door, the live-action directorial debut of Michael Arias (Tekkonkinkreet), fell from #10 off the chart in its second weekend.
