Latest card-game anime series to premiere in Japan on April 2
During his fourth-quarter 2007 earnings call to financial analysts on Monday, 4Kids Entertainment Chief Executive Officer Al Kahn confirmed that "this fall we expect to broadcast a brand new Yu-Gi-Oh! show that is debuting in Japan next month." Kahn is referring to Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's, the latest television series in the manga, card game, and anime franchise which will premiere in Japan on April 2. Set several decades after the adventures of Yūgi Mutō (the protagonist of the original Yu-Gi-Oh! story), Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's will focus on a new protagonist named Yūsei Fudō. Yūsei is a duelist who operates a red motorcycle-like D-Wheel in a new stadium game called Riding Duel.
