Koge Donbo's Kamichama Karin -chu- Shōjo Manga to End
posted on by Egan Loo
The April issue (released on March 2) of Kodansha's Nakayoshi magazine has announced that Koge Donbo's Kamichama Karin -chu- manga will end in the next issue, which goes on sale on April 3 in Japan. Kamichama Karin -chu- is a continuation of Donbo's earlier Kamichama Karin title, but no announcement has been made about whether Koge Donbo will start a new series. Both manga series revolve around a girl who discovers she can transform into a goddess and protect the world with other individuals of similar powers. Kodansha published seven volumes of the first series and six volumes so far of the second series.
Del Rey will publish the first volume of the Kamichama Karin -chu- manga this June in North America. (Tokyopop published the earlier Kamichama Karin manga in North America.) The original story was adapted into a 26-episode anime television series that ran from April to September of 2007 in Japan.
