Jump Square Manga Mag's 2nd Promo Video Posted Online

The Japanese publisher Shueisha has posted the "Shining" promotional movie for the launch of Jump Square, its replacement for the Monthly Shōnen Jump manga magazine. "Shining" and the earlier "Beginning" movie are available via streaming Flash video, MPEG1 File, and MPEG4 formats. Both movies highlight the various titles that Jump Square will serialize, such as Claymore, Rosario + Vampire, and Kure-nai.
The magazine's website also revealed that Ponse Maeda's Sekai no Chūshin de Taiyō ni Hoeru (Howl at the Sun in the Center of the World) detective gag manga, Mikami's Tsumikabatsu flower shop gag manga, and ufotable and Tartan Check's Kiyoku Tadashiku Utsukushiku high school soccer manga will run in the magazine when it launches on November 2. The title of Maeda's manga is an apparent wordplay on the Howl at the Sun detective television drama classic and the Japanese title for the Socrates in Love (Sekai no Chūshin de Ai wo Sakebu or "Crying Out Love in the Center of the World") romance novel. (Socrates in Love's Japanese title is itself an editor's homage to a Neon Genesis Evangelion television episode title, which itself was a homage to Harlan Ellison's The Beast That Shouted Love at the Heart of the World science-fiction novel.)
