posted on by Egan Loo
The September issue (on sale July 30) of Kadokawa Shoten's Asuka Ciel magazine announced that Shinobu Gotou's Takumi-kun series of boys-love novels will be made into a live-action film. The story, which has sold over 4 million volumes, follows the main lead Takumi-kun as he deals with life in an all-boys academy and his feelings for a beguiling half-French American boy. The movie will tentatively cover the first novel (Soshite, Harukaze ni Sasayaite) and will star Tomo Yanagishita (The Prince of Tennis musical's Kaoru) as Takumi-kun.
Other actors include Keisuke Katō (Hikaru in Hana Zakari no Kimi-tachi e: Ikemen Paradise) as the love interest, Yukihiro Takiguchi (Shūichirō in The Prince of Tennis musical), Yasuka Saitō (Shunji in The Prince of Tennis live-action movie), Hiroki Aiba (Shūsuke in The Prince of Tennis musical and movie), Wataru Hatano (Sam Houston in Toward the Terra…), and Ryō Sakaguchi. Tokyopop's Blu boys-love imprint will release the first volume of Ciel magazine's manga version (as drawn by the novels' illustrator, Kazumi Ooya) this September.
