Anpanman Museum Opens in April

A museum dedicated to Takashi Yanase's Anpanman will open in Yokohama on April 20.
A museum dedicated to one of Japan's most popular anime characters, Anpanman, will be opening on April 20th in Yokohama. The "Yokohama Anpanman Children's Museum", sponsored by 22 companies invested in the project, will be attached to a 3 story theatre hall in the Minato Mirai area of Yokohama.
The museum will feature a exhibit rea geared towards children and a "mall" of stores with Anpanman-related products for fans of the series. The site for the museum can be found here.
The Anpanman manga has sold more than 50 million copies in Japan since its debut in 1968, and the Anpanman anime boasts 18 films and 800 television episodes.
