Top Movies of 2005 in Japan

The Motion Pictures Producers Association of Japan has published two charts for the 2005 box office, the first for Japanese films, and the second for foreign films. The top movie in 2005 was Howl's Moving Castle (released in late 2004), while the top Japanese movie released in 2005 was Pocket Monster Advance Generation: Myuu to Hadou no Yuusha, which ranked 7th overall when foreign movies are counted.
