2 Anime Eligible for Best Animated Feature Film but Not Yet Nominated
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has announced that ten animated feature films are eligible for nomination for the Best Animated Feature Film category of the 78th Annual Academy Awards (the Oscars).
The movies are:
None of these titles have yet been nominated for the Oscar, they are merely eligible. A maximum of 3 films can be nominated for the Best Animated Feature Oscar. Nominations will be announced on January 31, and the awards will be announced on March 5.
Past Winners of the Best Animated Feature Oscar:
2004: The Incredibles (no anime was nominated)
2003: Finding nemo (no anime was nominated)
2002: Spirited Away
2001: Shrek (First year this Oscar was awarded, no anime was nominated)
