GW Bush Campaign Ad Includes... Anime?
posted on by Christopher Macdonald
Anime Style rendition of a Yakuza.
One of the current "negative ads" on the georgewbush.com website mentions the Japanese Yakuza while showing an anime style picture.
The ad states, "John Kerry says he's author of a strategy to win the war against terror -- against the Japanese Yakuza." It then goes on to attack Kerry by asking, "How can John Kerry win a war if he doesn't know the enemy?"
It's right before the "against the Japanese Yakuza" that a gong sound effect ushers in what appears to be a badly edited mix of several images, photoshopped together to represent a typical yakuza. The background image is a red-and-yellow rendition of Japan's wartime flag in the background.
Thanks to Verthandi for pointing this out.
