IY cut explained

VIZ did not delete any scenes from the original masters, nor will we in the future. Viz has officially responded regarding the missing scene in Inu Yasha V.7.
According to Viz, "When the episode in question was aired in Japan, episode 21 & 22 were aired as an 1 hour long special. When VIZ received the episodes from the Japanese licensor, it came as two separate episodes. The long episode was broken up into two shorter episodes, by the licensor in Japan, they decided where and how to cut the show."
The scene in question was also missing from the Japanese DVD release of Inu Yasha.
