According to Sony's official Kenshin Website (the same one we linked to earlier, in Japanese only), the new OVAs will be released on 2 volumes with the first volume to be released on December 19th and the second volume sometime in February. It is currently not known if there will be only these two episodes, or more.
According to the website there will also be a special contest where fans will be invited to send in postcards with the name of who they think will be the voice actor playing Kenshin's son, Kenji. Five winners will be selected from those who answer correctly and each will receive a poster signed by the main voice cast.
Correction:
ADV, which released the first set of OVAs and movie in North America (Media Blasters has the rights to the TV Series), partially funded the OVA and will of course be the company to release it in North America (this was announced at Otakon).
