Akira Expands Theatrical Run

According to a press release distributed by Reuters, the theatrical presentation of Akira, on DLP, is headed to theatres in Los Angeles and San Francisco.
The movie made $22 000 in its first week, a lot considering that it was showing on only one screen. As previously mentioned, due to the success, the New York showings will continue beyond the previously scheduled end date.
On April 27th Akira will be shown at the AMC Digital theatres in Burbank and San Fransisco, California.
