Transforming Optimus Prime Pen Makes Homework More Fun

Taking notes can be a drag, but not if you have a transforming pen. Toy maker Sentinel is teaming up with Takara Tomy to create a chunky pen that can unfold to become an ion blaster-wielding Optimus Prime.

A price hasn't been revealed yet, but the pen will be released some time this year. Hopefully Sentinel will make an entire set of Transformers office supplies. Then again, maybe they shouldn't, as world-wide productivity would probably grind to a halt.

Takara Tomy has been unveiling plenty of fun toys for the 30th anniversary of Transformers, including an Optimus Prime x Evangelion Unit-01 crossover.
