Nintendo Reveals New 2DS Portable Console

Nintendo announced on Wednesday that it will release a new Nintendo 2DS portable console on October 12. The new console will have all the features of the Nintendo 3DS and 3DS XL without the 3D viewing capability.
The console will play all packaged and downloadable games for 3DS and DS games, and will have wireless connectivity, access to the Nintendo e-Shop, and parental controls. The console will not have hinges and come with a stylus, an SDHC card, an AC adapter, and AR cards. Nintendo will launch the console in both blue and red for US$129.99.
Both the Pokémon X and Pokémon Y games will also ship worldwide on October 12.
Nintendo also announced that starting on September 20 it will drop the price of the Wii U deluxe set, which comes with 32 GB of storage space, from US$349.99 to US$299.99. Additionally, Nintendo will also release a limited-edition The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD Nintendo Wii U bundle for US$299.99. The bundle will include a black console; a controller with gold lettering, a gold Hyrule crest, and gold symbols from the game; a download code for a digital version of Dark Horse Comics' Hyrule Historia book; and a code to download The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD game from the Nintendo e-Shop for free.
