posted on by Karen Ressler
Game developer Level-5 posted a video to its official YouTube channel on Wednesday that previews an "ice lake" puzzle for its upcoming game Layton-Kyōju to Chō-Bunmei A no Isan (Professor Layton and the Legacy of the Super Civilization A). The video shows the player trying several incorrect answers before showing the solution to the puzzle. It also advertises that the game will have over 500 new puzzles.
Layton-Kyōju to Chō-Bunmei A no Isan takes place one year after the events of the fifth Layton game, Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask, and follows the story of Layton and his allies as they uncover the mystery of an ancient civilization after finding a girl trapped in ice. Level-5 president Akihiro Hino has stated that this will be the "final and greatest adventure" of Professor Layton.
The game ships in Japan on February 28. Japanese confectionery maker Ezaki Glico is currently selling “Nazo Toki Break Chocolate” (Puzzle-Solving Break Chocolate), which comes with passwords for puzzles in the upcoming game.
