Japanese game developer Konami began streaming a 165-second promotional video for the Metal Gear Solid HD Edition this week. The video reveals that the stealth action game bundle will ship in Japan on June 28.
The Metal Gear Solid HD Edition collection will include PlayStation Vita ports of the 2001 Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty game for the PlayStation 2 and 2004 Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater game for the PlayStation 2. The games will utilize the PlayStation Vita's touch screen and trophy feature, and people will be able to transfer game data between their PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita systems. Versions of the original 1987 Metal Gear game and its 1990 sequel Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake will also be included as bonus games.
The packaged Metal Gear Solid HD Edition collection will cost 4,980 yen (about US$62), and the downloadable version of the "tactical stealth action" game set will cost 4,480 yen (US$56). People who pre-order the set will also receive limited quantities of an original protective film and cleaning cloth with Metal Gear Solid HD Edition designs. Konami released HD collections for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles in November, which included ports of the same games.
Konami also began streaming an 84-second promotional video for the Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance game.
