Persona 4: The Golden Port RPG's Promo Streamed
posted on by Jennifer Sherman
Enterbrain's Famitsu website began streaming a 96-second promotional video for Atlus' Persona 4: The Golden game on Friday. The role-playing game will be a port of the original Persona 4 video game that was released for the PlayStation 2 in 2008.
The anime Studio Madhouse (Chihayafuru, Summer Wars) is creating the opening animation for the game, and Studio Hibari is also producing animated footage. Katsura Hashino, who directed the original game, is returning as producer, Shigenori Soejima is returning to design the characters, and Shoji Meguro will again handle the soundtrack.
The game will feature Marie, a new character voiced by Kana Hanazawa, as well as new animated footage, additional story events to interact with other characters in work and school, and new persona and costumes for battles. Players will be able to obtain a motorcycle license in the game that will allow characters to use the "Bike Pursuit" move during battle and participate in special events.
Atlus will release the game on June 14 for 7,329 yen (about US$91, tax included) in Japan. Enterbrain's online retail site will offer a Persona 4: The Golden Famitsu DX Pack for 10,290 yen (US$128). This pack will include a multi-use pouch styled like Marie's bag, 10 special postcards, and six A3-sized clear posters by various artists.
