Jersey Shore Team Seeks Anime/Manga/Cosplay Fans for Show

The casting company and production company behind MTV's The Jersey Shore television series announced this week that they are seeking eight cast members for its "experimental documentary series" Fandom Rising. Doron Ofir Casting is searching for the "most passionately obsessed, proudly self-identified pop culture fanatics from the worlds of comics, graphic novels, sci-fi, anime, manga, video games, toys, movies, and television."

495 Productions is making Fandom Rising after creating The Jersey Shore, Disaster Date, and similar television series. According to Doron Ofir Casting, the new series will take "a deeper look at the lives and relationships of people who love fantasy, fiction, cosplay, comics, gaming and science." The casting application is already online.
